An Appreciative Bouquet

“Over spring break I went with the alternative spring break club to Guatemala. We worked with this nonprofit called Primeros Pasos where we went to rural villages and planted gardens for families to help combat malnourishment. One of the nice things that happened was when a woman who we were helping asked if there was any way she could thank us. One of the only sources of income that she had was selling flowers on the market. She offered everyone flowers and made these beautiful bouquets. It was really sweet, especially considering she could have sold the flowers instead.” – Gabby Carter
